Canoe Beach

Canoe Beach
Canoe Beach is the county beach park that is just south of Ka'anapali Beach in Lahaina. The beach is connected to Ka'anapali Beach; only the name changes as you go north. Unlike Ka'anapali Beach, however, Canoe Beach has no hotels, no shops, no restaurants, and few tourists. If you're looking for a relatively undeveloped beach in Lahaina with ample parking and lifeguards, this beach is a good choice.

The beach gets its name from the many Hawaiian outrigger canoes on shore. This beach is the launching point for many of the canoe clubs on Maui, including the Kahana Canoe Club, the Lahaina Canoe Club, and the Napili Canoe Club. You may get to see paddlers practicing or even racing here. Canoe beach is also a good place to launch a sea kayak or sailboat from.

A/K/A

Canoe Beach is also known by its official name, Hanakao'o Beach Park.

Hours of Operation

Canoe Beach is open from 7AM - 8PM every day.
